I am looking for acting talent.

I am making a short film about homelessness.

The synopsis:

Living on the outside is a short film centred on Joey, a young individual who has become a victim to homelessness.
Since an upsetting family history, mother?s death and adoption, Joey fell under the influence of young, dysfunctional "friends".
After being arrested, young Joey's father is severely disappointed, and forces Joey to leave.
Now on the streets, cold, hungry and angry, Joey tells the story to a new-found friend.

I am looking for the following parts:

<LI>JOEY: (Main character), would need to be able to play 15 and 20 year old homeless person.

<LI>PETE: (main part, small speaking part), homeless person. Any age, although about 20ish would be good.

<LI>DAD: (smallish part, non-speaking), About 30-40ish. [/list]

I think it's better to post it here so all participants can react promptly to changes in schedule.

Native Austrian but speak reasonably accent-free English. 28 years old, 6f8 tall. Location London, can only do weekends, I'm afraid, as I have a full-time job.

Try this as an idea and a concept. And I am not trying to change your vision. Being in the US and all.
But the first thing that came to mind, given the circumstances and granted most of us have the equipment; is do the players have to be seen in the same frame. your lead is oppressesd and what is more like that than having someone talking at you like you aren't even there or talking to someone who isn' all there.
You might have to add an extra person or two to break up the mood.
but even the differences in lighting if say, three or four people coordinated with you about content, dialog, mood, costume, etc could be used to advantage. after all we have to live in our own world's.
As I said, Little Rich, I am not trying to change the vision of your project but this is called the Guerilla filmaker's forum and I have found that lack of reliable help is the mother of invention.

Assyrix> The reason I have ased people to E-MAIL me is because I check me E-mail a lot more often than this board.

If people (Like Yourself and Chance) reply to me via this board, then there is a good chance that I will end up overlooking people who are interesed...

I have been looking at the Deadlights Website of Chance, and he said somewhere that if people on the look out have requested a certain thing, then only reply under the circumstances that the postee has asked for...

The Example I remember he had given was that he was looking for 18 + (due to Safety, Pyrotechnics, etc...) and he got loads of replys with "I'm not 18 yet, But...", which he binned.

I kinda feel the same way. I have made it clear that I want to be E-mailed, and people insist on posting on this board.

Well, as I say, I haven't been to this board as often as my E-mail...

Ralph> I understand what you mean... You are suggesting that I film only one person myself, and get the other actor to do their part somewhere else, and somehow piece it together...

Unfortunatly, due to the complex scenes, I don't think this would work.

It would screw up the continuity, (lighting would be different for a start), would be difficult to edit and I don't think it would work.

Anyway, I'm not really comfortable with giving my script to someone so they can make half of it themselves...

Sorry about the rant on both occasions, but I think it's stuff that needs to be said.
